    Webcam/video chat is really slow!

    Everything else on this bloody laptop is blazingly fast but apparently Skype video chat is the only thing this 2.0MP camera is incapable of doing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    This is my internet speed. Clearly Internet speed is not the problem here.

    Hello, Mikozee, I have experienced this on my laptop as well. The reason for this problem is that webcam is trying to apply the back-light compensation and spends additional time processing every frame. The effect of this will be more apparent in darker room.

    Basically, you need more ambient light in order for the video to be smooth or somehow turn off the back-light compensation (I don't know how).

    Get outside in the sunlight and try using webcam. You should see that video is smooth then as it should be.

    Turn on an extra lamp when you're using your webcam. All integrated webcams will suffer this type of problem and there's not really a fix for it.
