I'm about to purchase an Asus notebook but I want to know if there's a website that offers Asus latest notebook ( such as the U6V with 9400 ) and I can seperate the payment into 2-3 years to pay it. I can probably upgrade the U6V a lot more if I can pay it bit by bit.

Anyone would know any website that offers such features?

The best tip I can give is to save your money instead. Save up enough so you can pay for the computer in one full payment. Or at least in a few months. If you spread out a computer payment over 2-3 years, you'll regret it because a year or two down the road, you'll be paying for old technology. Remember, think of a computer as something you need, not necessarily want. Chances are you'll purchase a computer because you simply want the best, and look at is as "old" a few months down the road because of something better, especially with the technology coming out within the next year. Good luck!

Well paying about 50-70$ for a 2k laptops over 2-3 years is good as a notebook usually last about 4-5years. I dont mind paying for "old" technology because it ease my financial balance while if I pay all at once, it's a big chunk for a college student. It's something I need in 2-3 months when school's project starts for real and I can't possibly get that much money until january or february..

I dont think THAT many college student in this world can have up to 2000$ credit on a card. At least, I am not that rich of a kid that can even easily pull off a 1000$ in a month without begging mommy to help.

I'm confused as to what you are saying... If you want to purchase a laptop and make monthly payments either you, or your parents, will have to have the credit in order to receive a loan or credit card to cover the cost of the laptop.

There are a few places that will let you buy a laptop and make payments on it monthly without credit. However, I highly doubt these places will let you select the laptop you want. Most the time they will give you a very junky laptop that only costs about $400 and charge you $800 for it.

I suggest you listen to the advice previously given and save up enough money to purchase the laptop outright. This will end up being the cheapest solution because you won't have to deal with interest or any other fees.

If you are still bent on financing the laptop then I suggest you either take a loan out or try to apply for a credit card with a high enough limit to cover the cost of the laptop. If you have no credit, then more then likely your parents will have to co-sign.

Building credit is very important so it's not a horrible idea to finance something you actually NEED, like a laptop. These are just some of your options and I am in no way telling you what choice to make. It's completely your decision. Good luck.

The idea of financing a laptop makes me cringe. You definitely don't need that fancy of a laptop for college if you are planning on financing it for 3 years.

To answer your question, there are no Asus resellers that offers financing options afaik. The only way for you to get an Asus notebook with financing is through Best Buy, Newegg, or other larger retailers.

Good question, and Newegg lets you to do that... :)

I got a Newegg Preferred Account (with a credit limit of $2000) a few months ago and purchased my laptop (ASUS F8Va-C1) without paying a penny. :)

After getting your preferred account, Newegg lets you to defer your payment for 6 months if you purchase over $499 and for 12 months if you purchase over $999. My laptop was around $1500 and I have used "1 year payment deferral" option for that.

The bad thing is that you need to pay it in 1 year if you do not want to pay any interst (till Aug 2009). They are not spreading it over 2-3 years. The good thing is that if you pay it in one year, there will be NO interest charge.

I'm studying in Graphic Design and I need a rather fast and graphic power notebook...but I dont want it too big and too heavy ( like my previous G1s-A1 that I sold it to someone ) cuz I keep moving around the classroom for many reasons.
