I thought this might be an isolated event, but it has happened twice. Yesterday after getting my laptop out of my bag, I noticed that the battery charging light was on. This is wierd, because when I put the laptop away, it had full power. Again today after being fully charged, the laptop charge light came on when I plugged it in.

Is this a battery issue, or could this point to the motherboard?

    1. Batteries loose charge even when in storage.
    2. When power is available (battery or AC), the computer is not really completely off. It's still drawing a tiny bit of power. No, there is no way to change this. This is true for many electronic devices today like your TV, DVD player...
