Hello everyone. I own an asus ROG STRIX GL702ZC and it has a desktop R7 1700 in it. While i run it on power it works normally, doesnt throttle while rendering and stays stable at 3400mhz. While i work on battery tho it throttles the CPU all the way down to 550 mhz every time there is a load like an action in lightroom. It shows that there is thermal throttle at Prochot (EXT) and (HTC). This throttling is not apparent while running it with it power brick. Any ideas? Bios is updated to the latest and chipset drivers too. Screenshot of the HWinfo window also attached

I got n950tp6, which has desktop i7 8700 cpu. It does same as yours if i use it on battery, i think its because to save battery and power usage.

This is correct as on battery you won't last long at all if it didn't your notebook is designed this way
