    Hello all,

A bit recently, I've noticed that my G50V-A1 on occasion freezes for about a second in this weird hiccup. I usually notice it when I'm playing a video or sometimes playing a game. It also pretty much does it consistently when I open my recycling bin.

So is there something wrong with my hard drive? And how can I fix it?

Or is it nothing to really worry about, except it gets pretty annoying.

Hm this happened on my desktop at one stage and it got fixed...but for the life of me I can't remember exactly what I did to create or fix this.

    How often does it happen?

You may also want to have a look at your processes list and see if any of them use up an undue percentage of the CPU. There is a common problem with some G50-s were the System process takes a lot of CPU, for instance.

This is the thread that discusses that problem: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=292076
