Hi my Dell SXPS1640 finally died on me and I'm thinking of getting ASUS.

I like this ASUS N55SF-EH71 for its price and features, but I think everyone is not happy over the heating issues.

What do you guys suggest for this price range and similar features ?

My primary use of laptop would be programming, numerical model simulations and some gamings (Heroes of Newerth, Starcraft II, Diablo 3).

if you can, try riding it out for a few month and wait for the N6 to come out. it will have the new ivy bridge with likely the new kepler chips from nividia

I can't wait for few more months as I need to get my work done unfortunately: (

I am also looking at n53sv-EH72 which costs slightly cheaper at $870 at Amazon.

It seems everyone is happy with that model as it doesnt have any heat issue because of the OPTIMUS ?
