    It depends on the dealers, some order strictly the Panasonic ones or Samsung, while others order whatever they can get their hands on..

    No..... combo drives have ALWAYS been toshiba (now what is toshiba/samsung) ..... the dvd burners have been toshiba/samsung or panasonic this year........ the only shipments of z63a dvd burners that Asus brought in this year have been the panasonics.
