I have an M50SV-B1 and I decided to try the pinnacle Media Center remote that I use on my HTPC and it works fine with the ASUS.

When I installed the pinnacle remote on my HTPC I noticed it didnt come with any drivers, and instead it relied on microsoft standard IR media center drivers.

So, that made me think most IR MC remotes would work the same way. Using a default set of windows drivers. I bought an HP IR Expresscard Media Center remote on ebay for a few bucks, thinking it might work, but so far it hasnt.

So, anyone know if there are any Infrared Expresscard remotes avaiable that do work with them? On asus site they mention having their own brand, but I dnot see them for sale anywhere. I have seen the bluetooth ones, those are kind of pricey.

Any ideas, personal experiance with other brand remotes?

    EDIT:

Here's a clip from page 20 of the user's manaul, saying that ASUS provides a Expresscard IR remote on some models, yet that remote doesnt seem to be available online.
