What do you mean? Are you asking which one to buy? Are you asking which version comes with a computer?

I know for a fact it does not come standard with the full version of Office and I do not think that it comes with the trial version either.

My E1505 came with a trial version of Office. It expired after 90 days at which point the new Office was out and thanks to Wife being a teacher we got the full pro version for cheap.

Got to say I am not a big fan of the new office - much different interface from old one. I miss the "file, edit, view, etc" menu's. Also have to set up to save in the old formats as default so I don't send files people can't open.

After 2 months of use of Office 2007, I've come to like it.... but there's a learning curve about like switching from WordPerfect to Word years ago.

There is a Home & Student version of Office 2007 which come with Word, Powerpoint, Excel and OneNote. Cheapest legal, full version of the software.

The only downsides are a) it sticks "non commercial use" on the top of every main dialog box and b) it cannot be used as a base for a future upgrade. However, it does say you can install it on three computers, though I'm not sure if that means three computers concurrently or three times total. Haven't tried that yet, don't think I want to try...

They don't have a means of shifting back from ribbon to normal menus, but all the menus look exactly like their 2003 counterparts once you get past the ribbon...

2007 is trying to be a lot more user-friendly, i think, with the ribbon. putting symbols as a click-down as well as some other fairly used tabs makes it easier to type up things like physics labs. i've been using it for about two weeks and i already think it's more comfortable to use than office 2003.

@crazydiamond. love the pink floyd picture and username.
