I checked the Asus Benchmark sticky and I'm glad to say that my W3V with same specs seems to be benching higher than the 915 that's quoted there. I'm getting close to 1148 but scouring the forums, I see everything from my score to 1449?

Assuming this is through overclocking, I tried to read the overclocking thread but most of it was way over my head. How about a layman's table that correlates core mhz/mem speed against the resulting improvements in 3dmark05? Anything like that out there?

You are getting this score becuase you are not using the stock driver that is on the cd. Thast why. Othewise your score is tops before overclcoking. The base is underclocked sort of speak.

It would be really nice to have such a table, but in the end it will mean not much, as an x600 for eg maybe clocked differently by the manf. in a w3 verse another notebook. Its best to use this as a guideline, and dont get sucked into the numbers game. at the end of the day the most important thing is...does it play my fav game? A few hundered points in 3dmark is irrelivant, it means nothing and may or maynot result in a huge difference in fps in say HL2. As eddie also mentioned the type of driver you use can have just as much impact on those scores as clock speed. For eg, I got around 400 more points in 3dmark03 on my M6n when I used the stock asus drivers over the latest omegas at the time....but I didnt notice any difference in game.
