My asus laptop says to reboot with software and wont boot up. It needs to be factory reset. I need to know how to reset the laptop.

What computer model do you have. Does it have the stock hard drive? Asus does typically include a recovery partition so you can reset it to factory settings. With the computer off, turn it on and start continually pressing F9 right away. That should get you to the recovery console, just follow the instructions.
