    im having prob with my g73... im having scratching/ irritating sounds coming from the speaker.... even u lower the volume... its still the same... all i need to do is to restart it... happened three times already... any suggestion why is it happening.. never had this before..

    Is this the same "crackling" sound that has been previously posted by others?

    i had that one too.. but the clean install fixed it by uninstalling the creative programs.

    Sounds like bad drivers or a bad codec... Have you done anything recently with codecs or drivers? Don't forget Win7 has an annoying ability to automatically install different drivers it thinks is better for you, so also check your recent updates.
