Xotic PC and other online retailers do not carry it any more. The W90 was the one that had the 18.4 screen and had the two graphics cards the Crossfire right?

I think it might have been discontinued sadly. I really wanted the W90 but did not grab one in time. Maybe you can find one on eBay or Amazon?

I have a feeling that there will not be a successor to the W90.

I hope ASUS continues building notebooks with high end ATI GPU's.

When I'm going to upgrade I'll probably stay with ASUS, but it's still too soon: I bought my W2W in november 2007.

I wish I could fine a w90 with a blu ray player. Does anyone know where I can look to purchase one? Thanks.

Buy a Blu-ray drive on eBay and swap the bezel.

I thought the W90 had a huge amount of heat and hardware problems though?

Not to mention that it is an absolute monster and is one of the heaviest notebooks out there.

Was the W90 a Republic Of Gamers laptop?

No heat problems, but numerous issues with the GPU's and Crossfire.

Indeed it is an impressive notebook size-wise. ;)

No, it wasn't. Some reviews claimed that it was, but it doesn't have the G-- prefix or flashy, plastic case of the ROG line.

Instead, it was advertised as a "multimedia" notebook. ;)

That's pretty unusual, considering that it performs better than the ROG line.

Really not sad to this one go. Way too big/ugly and it was not mind blowing for the price at this point. Was cool when it came out though for a short while.

I think they probably wanted the W90 to be a little more "prestigious" than the normal ROG line. ;)

It was on the main page of the ROG website for quite sometime being advertised as their flagship actually. they probably wanted to keep it a little more classy than the g series tho...
