    What happen to my new ASUS ?

    the first time i use Disk management to split the HDD to 4 partition and i get this error -the laptop freeze and i have to press and keep the power button to turn it off

    After that i use recovery disk to go to the first time and this time i use Acronis disk direct .Works fine.

    But now i get this error again.
    When using if for about 20 minutes maybe 30 minutes i get this error

    Anybody get this error ? how to fix it? please help me out

    This is Asus F80 S, i'm using Vista Home Premium

    maybe it's the video card or some component isn't properly plugged in :confused:

    Wait, does this randomly appear after the system is running normally?

    If you can, plug it into an external monitor so see if a picture appears normally. If yes, it's probably a loose connector; if no, the video card is may be blown. Either way, you might have to call Asus for RMA repair :(.

    If it happens after about 20-30 minutes from being in windows, try using a Linux Live CD (Ubuntu, Fedora) and use it for the same amount of time and see if it happens in that. If it does then It's a hardware error (Videocard, RAM, etc.) if not then it might be a Windows error.

    Or maybe try reinstalling the video driver again? Dunno, but I'd try this first.

    I would run a program like Rivatuner to monitor the GPU temps and clock rates. Also check that you have the most recent or stable video drivers. I think it is more likely a hardware issue though but I could be wrong.
