HWMonitor is the usual monitoring program to use.

    Temps of what?

    For GPU I like ATITool

for CPU I use Everest or coretemp

for HDD I use HD Tune or Everest

The most important thing is that you can monitor temps while something is in use, so a program let lets you see it live or logs it is important.

I have had my G50vt for a while and never monitored really. I started to use LCDhype a few months ago to monitor battery and cpu/mem usage and love it.

I have now instealled Everest as people have made some scripts for that and LCDhype so you can watch the temps on that nice little screen asus put above the keyboard.

I by far find that the best now. I say that because #1 the asus one does not let you do much, but also it lets you watch the temps in game without having to need on screen display things in the way and what not.

Its really a neat program and is not hard to use. Their is TONS of info if intrested. Just look for the post about it. :)

I think you will enjoy that, even if you dont game as it gives that little screen a bit more life.

I tried reading through that thread and I'm not sure how to use it. I couldn't even get that mini lcd working without the driver cd from asus before. I installed all 4 drivers. One never worked and the other 3 made it do nothing.

I think I'm just looking for regular temp monitors.
