    Hey,

I own a A8js Notebook. Its about 2 years old now and has a Geforce 7700Go with 512 MB dedicated ram. Its not such a bad VGA card.
When running on my 22" Samsung 226BW through DVI the system scores 400 Points less on 3DMark06 as compared to when I just run it on the laptop screen.

The 3Dmark Resolution is the same in both cases.
Also there is a major difference in how smooth the windows move in general, also scrolling is laggy with all browsers that I tried. For some reason the Monitor seems to drain a lot of performance when connected.

The resolution running on the screen is 1680 x 1050

There is a world of difference in speed when I disconnect the Monitor.
I have the newest nvidia drivers also tried the Laptop2go drivers..
When I go on facebook for example the fan turns on full speed while the page is loading, that much energy is lost in the process

    Any Ideas ?
