Hi all, just curious as to what your m50 temps are during idle and load? I feel like mine is running a bit hot, so I just want to compare. also those who overclock please post your temps too. Thanks!

    Set at "Quiet Office"
    Idle:
    CPU: 45C
    GPU: 60C
    HDD: 43C

    Set at "High Performance"
    Idle
    CPU: 48C
    GPU: 60C
    HDD: 43C

Load ("High performance" playing crysis, Gears of War with small O/c of video card):
    CPU:61C
    GPU: 80-85C
    HHD:48-50C

Im in a rather hot-weather area so my temps should be higher than average. Also im not sure if I want to oveclock my CPU altho it seems everyone can do it fairly easy with still acceptable temperatures.

I imagine I could clock CPU to 2.3Ghz without much of a hassle, but im still not sure I want to... GPU seems to respond well with small overclock, as Temps remain on a good level (520core/1100shader/420memory).

hmm, my CPU just started idling at 52...

before it always idled at 47 ish, any idea as to what could of caused an increase in temperature?

What setting are you using? any background apps running? Did you OC?
I'm getting 52C as well when idling in both 'high' and 'super performance' when OCed

I think those are normal temps. I just un-overclocked my CPU back to stock settings and mine is idling between 49-50.
On "quite office" setting temps are hovering at 47-48C.

Hi, I just slightly overclocked my gpu to 500/1050/416. when playing crysis or the witcher, it reaches max temps of 83c. is this normal and within the safe range? what is the what would be considered a safe max temperature for the gpu? Thanks!

GPUs are usually designed to withstand a max temp of ~120C, but for safety reasons, most GPU drivers have set the limit to 100C and will automatically downclock once it reaches the critical temp. 83C is perfectly normal when playing Crysis or any other graphics demanding games.
