I'm thinking about picking on up since I've overclocked quite a bit, but don't know which one to get. I wanted to try and get a census.

Antec 200, although in retrospect I think I should have paid the extra $4 for a NZXT Cryo LX, as I'm seeing very little difference with the Antec

Plus, you can put a float half a dozen ping pong balls next to your laptop while you game.

Zalman nc2000..Gonna swap the g50 bottom panel with my g51. I put a hole where the fan would be that way fresh air is directly sucked in. Dropped temps for my G50 gpu about 6C, hopefully the same with this laptop..

The difference is that NC1000 is designed for smaller notebooks <15". NC2000 would be a much better choice for the G51.
    NC1000 - 308(L) x 330(W) x 40(H) mm
    NC2000 - Dimensions 318(L) x 400(W) x 42.5(H) mm

Overall the Zalman NC2000 and the NZXT Cryo S are the best coolers for the G51.

I wonder how loud it runs.

I've read the debates, but one question of mine wasn't answered (or two) :p

    1. Do these both(NC2000)/Cryo) blow towards the laptop or suck air away?
I read one report where the NZXT sucks air away so it fights with the g51vx-a1(which sucks air in from the bottom, correct me if i'm wrong).

Just want to make absolute certain before I purchase one or the other, though i am leaning towards the NC2000 :p

Wow. It looks like you used dynamite to blast a hole into your panel. You could have just used a hole cutting tool.

I used a circular bit with the center hollow so it cut a perfect circle. I tried burning the edges to make it smooth but the plastic didnt react well so I recently just sanded it down also..that pic is a bit old. I added metal netting also.

Munchkin-man, have you put that bottom on your G51 yet? if it actually makes a difference, I may do the same thing!

Zalman blows the air onto the laptop, as well as NZXT Cryo S. IMO NZXT looks better, they both perform pretty similar, maybe Zalman better by ~1-2C, but there was no official comparsion of both.

I use the NC2000 for my W90, and it runs quiet and does a good job. I'm happy with it.
