    Hello

I bought an Asus Laptop last December and since now I'm really happy with it but the Optical Disk Drive is causing some problems.

Unfortunalty, without noticing what I was doing I used all 5 chances of the DVD region while watching DVDs. Now I'm not able to see any more DVDs.

I contacted Asus and told me to contact the nearest Asus Technical service, which is UK. And since I don't live in UK, I'm finding a little difficult to communicate with them.

What shall I do ? Since it's still with global warranty I don't want to spend money for another drive...
There's no firmware for my OD Drive model...and I 'm not going to wait for one to be published...

Any other comments to what shall I do?

    Thanks

You don't need a firmware change in order to lift those regional limitations...there is a LOT of software outhere that will easily do it for you. I use AnyDVD, try that out, it will solve you problem.

I tried a lot of programs that bypass the regions like; DVD Region Free, Any DVD and others but no success.

My ODD is a Matshita model

So that option isn't that effective

Thanks a lot for your comment....
