    Hey guys,

I just got my notebook, and I don't know what to do first. Should I charge it up fully before turning it on for maximum battery longevity? Or is it ok to just start using it now?

Ideally, you should charge your laptop overnight before turning it on for the first time, though I rarely follow that procedure. Personally, I would just turn my laptop on while having the power adapter connected and start customizing my personal settings. I would suggest you either remove all the unwanted bloatware or do a clean install just so your laptop will run faster and smoother without all the crapware hogging up your system resources. Also, register your laptop as others have mentioned above.
