I'm new to the labtop scene, and I just recieved my Asus a6ne labtop. I was wondering what were the steps that most Asus users do immediately after starting there computer, installing drivers, and registering with xp and etc. I know this has been on the forums before but I can't seem to find it, so thanks for any help. Greatly appreciated.

it depends what you want to me, personally I install all the software I intend to use which plans to be alot, like office, adobe, flash, dream weaver, video games blah blah and then defrag it so its all nice and compact. And also put the ram upgrades which I always do.

But if you wanna go the route of under volting or over clocking there are a bunch of guides you can read.

    Thats just what I do

Well, the one thing I would advise you to do, is register your Asus at asus.com. You have to do this within 30 days of purchase, or else you don't get the 2 year guarantee. (I had to become a member of asus vip or something like that, but there is a link on the site which guides you through everything)

Other than that, I have not done much. I tried updating with asus live update, but it didn't seem to work. Don't really know about anything else, but there will surely be others that have something to say.
