Ok heres my problem, since i first got my G73 it had problems with the touchpad also would be slow starting up because it would always check the cd drive first no matter what i chose in bios boot options, so i would always open the cd drive right after hitting the power or i would just always leave it open.

well heres the deal both of my problems are speratic and dont happen evertime, so what can i expect if it doesnt show itself for tech support? will they just send it back saying they could not reproduce the issue?

The touchpad problem has gotten worse, now sometimes it gets stuck on the left or right side and will only go up or down, this happens in Win7 and Linux. I always thought it was an issue with the touchpad hardware itself, like its put together wrong or something.

    Any thoughts,
    thanks

touchpad they will probably just be replaced, although i believe they may just replace the entire top case and not just the touchpad hardware.. as for the CD bootup, when you go into the bios it is a little tricky in how you have to set it up.

if it is a big bother i would just disable the DVD Rom as a boot option
