    What wrong with my A8Js? please help!

    I uninstalled the Splendid utility and some other ASUS software yestoday. However, when I found my screen is a little bit bluish (maybe because of the leakage problem), I was trying to reinstall Splendid today, but it doesn't work......Actually, I can run the Splendid program from starting group, but the screen doesnt change at all no matter I chose vivid, gamma, soft and so on.....(hotkey also doesnt work).

    any idea? thanks

    If the issue only arose after you uninstalled those programs, then I would suspect that the problem is not due to leakage. Sounds like something is fishy with Splendid... Otherwise, did you install anything like Adobe Gamma Loader (comes with Photoshop)?
    If you haven't invested too much time and effort into setting things up, I would suggest that you perform a recovery using the provided CDs (or the recovery partition)...

    thanks，jywc，thank god the recovery disc works.....

    btw: is there any way to disable or change the splendid hotkey without uninstalling it? Since I often pressed the Fn+C which alternates the display mode when I was supposed to press Ctrl+C, which is copy command......weird key design!

    Besides the fact that the FN and CTRL key are not placed like how many would like it to be, you will get used to it in a couple of weeks.

    As for Splendid, look through the Preferences and look for Global Hotkeys or Macros and turn it off if there's an option.
