I just read a post off a news forum that mentioned Asustek shipping PS3s.
It brings to mind a question I've had for awhile... what doesn't Asus manufacture? I mean they're putting together some of todays hottest tech-gadgets:
- Apple notebooks
- Asus notebooks
- And now the PS3.
Asus is really becoming a major player in consumer electronics lately.

asus has been a major player, they also create some pretty good motherboards and they also rebrand many high quality overclocked video cards...

they always have been. they just never branded things for their own before. they have made old apple laptops sony notebooks. dell laptops. the ps2 apple ipodes. most motherboards. they have been doing this stuff for a while it isnt new.

Ditto the above and they also have made the larger gaming hp's in the past (the models that look most like the old Asus L5's) and they made the entire line for Sharp..... although those are mainly sold in Japan I believe.... JVC rebrands the S200 and S300 for sale in Japan...... Epson of all people (the printer company), has special models in their colors (grey and greyish-blue) based on some of Asus' models which are big in Japan as well...
It was once quoted last year or maybe going two now that almost 50% of all computers in the world had an Asus motherboard in them.... That doesn't mean they're all as good, as most of those where contract bids and certainly not as good as their own branded, high performance models.... but nevertheless, Asus made them.
... but you'd be hard pressed to find apple or sony products that Asus doesn't make.... they don't make all of their things, but when you through ipods and ps3's into the mix.... that's certainly not the end-all in terms of what they make for them.
