Since I've noticed a lot more people coming up with names for their babies I thought we could share this with others and have a little fun with it by telling us your best/worst moment in time with your laptop.

Before posting this I could've sworn I tried a thread like this in the past, but I don't know if I did. If I did, let the flaming begin~! No, no, don't do that please.

    :)

Anyhoo' as many of you know my baby's name is Celia and she's sick right now so I took her over to the nice folks at PacificNotebooks to give to the scary doctors at Asus to have a look-see.

Hopefully they notice the obvious sgrapes and scarring and notice her cough.

    Cheers,
    Mike :D

Edit:: changed skrapes with a c to sgrapes...dang censor

    Whistler.

    My desktop is named Blackcomb...

    :)

Oh and for a bad experience with my laptop. I think you can do a search on the threads I posted here about the recovery program not working (F9 or F12, on startup if I remember correctly...) Long story short, basically instead of my laptop booting into Windows, it would boot into the recovery program. However, it would give errors on when I'd try to restore it! I was going to reformat the whole thing with the restore CDs but it still wouldn't work. (I thought that the HDD or one of the connections was fubared)After a long time, I figured out that activating the restore function on startup activates the restore partition on the Hard Drive. All I had to do was "de-activate" that partition and my data on the HDD was saved :D

like it or not, you probably have a name on the laptop.

If you check it in the computer properties it's there. Probably something like "Asus-98984390" or some default value the system restore cds put in.

I like Yuna because it's also a korean name. :D

I would put up a screen shot of my baby Celia's name but she's not home. She's at the doc's office for the weekend, hopefully have her back monday or tuesday.

    *sigh*

My desktop is named Callisto, she's a hottie. hahahaha

My laptop is named Bob. Good ol' reliable Bob! My best friend from highschool recently bought a laptop (Toshiba though). We were talking and discovered she'd named her's too! And what did she name it? BOB!

So far I haven't had any serious problems with Bob. I did have to get an updated ati driver though (which was difficult because ATI stupid catalyst checker thing). Whatever one came with the laptop caused the screen to go screwy and cause a serious system error on windows every few boots. >_>

    My lappy is called Inquisition.
A friend of mine named his desktop Fridge and his laptop Icebox, which I thought was clever. There's a bit of an inside joke in that, but it's still clever without knowing that.

Of course, if she's as sexy as I think she will be, I'll name her Jenna.

Then we'll elope to some tropical island and I'll hire a crew to film all the exploits between me and my Jenna. Then I'll sell them on the Interweb and we'll be rich, and men will drool over her, and they'll all want to be me, and we'll be famous....

Just be careful and use protection. You wouldn't want to get a virus or a back-door hack. Also, keep in mind that it's called a "parallel" port, so none of this perpendicular stuff.

    Do send pictures, though :p

I dare someone to hack me. I love the back door.

Parallel, perpendicular, sideways, superior and inferior, anterior and posterior, it's all mine! I paid for it! Ought to get some good lovin' for $1800 smackers.

Coma why wouldn't you let people know? Come on don't be a coward, and whoever makes fun of you can get a face full of your fist or the underside of your notebook so she can have her vengeance too.

Aurora how about Zeea. Since Z63a kind of looks like Zeea. So that's pronounced Zay, like say, and -ah. So Zayah or Zeea. You like, you like?
