Does anyone know the "F" function to go to safe mode? BTW, I'm using a W7J. Thanks

Edit: I tried F8 but it didn't work but I'll try again.

That's what I did but it didn't work. Do I have to shut off the laptop completely then try again? Or can it be done just by "restart"? Because I restart instead of shut down.

If that really doesn't work, you can turn on the option to boot from the MSConfig panel. Then boot to safemode and then do what is needed. When you are done in safemode, turn that option off, and you will be set.

Thanks but it worked, I pressed F8 too early, it supposed to be after the bios password but I pressed before.

Fair enough. I know that I prefer the other method sometimes, you can hit restart and run to grab something to drink while it restarts, or whatever you might need to do. Glad to here it works.

Usually I just keep tapping the F8 key once it passes the BIOS page.
