I'm looking to buy a laptop for college and I was originally going to get the Dell XPS 15 or HP DV6TQE from their manufacturers website. Unfortunetly it wouldn't let me bill it to Canada even if I was still shipping to America and buying from the Canadian sites are just way to expensive.

I understand Asus is sold through retailers and want to know which is the best Asus on the market for about $1000.

I'm looking for something portable so a screen less than 16 inches. I would also prefer something with good battery life and not too bulky.
I also might game (wow, diablo, starcraft 2), so I want something that could run games decently.

if you can cough up $100-200 more, look for the G53SW-XN1 on Newegg, it will dazzle you!

I actually considered this for a second but couldn't find anything on weight or battery life. After some research I found its 8.4 pounds! That's too much.

Depends what you're looking for, but the N series is a nice compromise between power and function.
