Hey Guys...
I just made the switch from a Lenovo T61 to an ASUS N80Vn-Gp011. My first impression of the N80Vn is really good. I love the LCD LED. However, I miss the Thinkpad keyboard. Anyway...
I just upgraded my HDD to a WD 7200 RPM. I noticed that I have a TON of optional Asus utilities available on my driver CD. I installed about half of the utilities I thought I might use. The other half I'm not sure about.
I attached a screenshot. You can see which ones I chose not to install as those are unchecked. I also avoided Norton AV Trial.
I couldn't find anything on the asus website that descibes all of these utilities. Am I missing something? Has anyone here put anything together? I'd like to install any utilities that I really might use, but I prefer to avoid things that are big resource hogs.
Anyone got any info for me?
Merry Christmas!!!!

You should get rid of live update. It's a very buggy utility and doesn't always work. I'd personally could also do without checkmail, mult, lifeframe, splendid and smart logon but these are personal choices.

Thanks for the response David.
I don't see "checkmail". Is their another name for that?
I figured live update might be a problem. Lenovo's version of lie update was always very buggy as well.
Do you trust windows update when it comes to driver suggestions? -
What's up with all of these Asus utilities?
