Is it just my connection, or does the Asus support and forum site generally blow? They never seem to promptly answer anyones questions and trying to get feedback from the site crew is like pulling teeth. I signed up and chatted the other night but then today my password wouldn't get accepted. I figured maybe I forgot the exact word so I asked them to send me my password via email (at least 5 times). That was over 8 hours ago. Sheesh! I really love Asus products but their site has always been dog slow and really tardy with responses. Why does a company with such good products screw people on such a valuable venue?

Yeah.. the forum is pretty much useless.... I've emailed their support a couple times also, and it's like flipping a coin... sometimes I get an answer... and in the case of my last 2 support questions... no response whatsoever....

You're probably better off just calling them directly...

I sent them an E-mail 8 months ago regarding an issue I had with an A8N-E motherboard. Solved the problem the next day(I updated my BIOS, and it hung at the post for some odd reason. Later discovered that the computer refuses to pass the post if you have a USB mouse connected to it. A USB->PS2 adapter solved everything.) and I have yet to receive a reply from Asus.

I have heard good things about their phone support. People claim Asus phone support is polite, and they work to please the customer. They will do what a customer asks, even if they disagree with the customer.

Well thankfully my new rig seems to be working very well. I usually get my everyday tech questions answered by fine folks on forums like this, but it's good to know that a telephone call will probably be the way to go if something serious pops up. Thanks for the info.

I've never been more pleased with a laptop before than with my Asus Z96. First Asus laptop. Definately coming back to Asus for future laptops. Never really been satisfied with any other laptop.

One thing that I have learned is that the reseller you buy from is just as important as the manufacturer of your laptop. If you go with a good reseller, they'll handle everything for you and you'll be well taken care of. Tech support, questions, repair, everything.
