Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but... (also, not necessarily looking to sell it here)
I have had my laptop for a couple of weeks now (2 or 3). Unfortunately, I think I am going to have to sell it under tight financial situation I am in right now. I am hoping that I can make back most of my purchase. So what do you guys think a decent price would be for this model considering it DOES NOT have a bluray drive. Also, would I be able to transfer the 2 year warranty with it? I have not activated it (are you suppose to?) yet.
Ugh, I am not looking forward to getting rid of this beast :(

I would put your G50 in the $1400-$1500 ballpark.
The warranty is transferable as long as you give the new owner a copy of your invoice. Regarding the activation, it doesn't really matter if it's activated or not, but you should remind your buyer that in order to receive the 1 year accidental warranty, he/she must activate/register with Asus within 60 days from your original purchase date.

Yea I was hoping for at least 1500. That sounds very decent to me, the laptop is practically brand new. Also, is the warranty transfer confirmed? Cause I do not want to advertise something I cannot promise. Thanks

Yes, the warranty is transferable. Just make sure you give a copy of your invoice to the buyer because Asus follows the serial number and date of purchase to determine whether a laptop is under warranty or not.

Would it be the same if I were to just activate the warranty before I sold it? That way they did not have to deal with doing anything extra, and also because I cannot find a printed invoice from xoticpc. I am assuming I could just get the info from th website though.

It would be best if you just leave the activation to the buyer. You could also call and ask Xoticpc if they can e-mail you a copy of your invoice if you can't find it on their website.

Yea maybe that is a better way. BTW do we activate the warranty by sending in that little paper (came in a booklet) or can we do it online?

It can be done either way :) I usually just do it online since it's more convenient.
