Whats the best thing to use to clean the screen of my Z70VA? Just water or some sort of wipes, or alchohol wipes? I dunno what the best thing to use it to not damage the screen in the process.

I used a damp 100% cotton cloth to clean my matte screen, I am not sure about glossy type screen.

do not using cleaning solution on a LCD screen, at least not most solutions. Only water isopropyl alcohol mix 50/50 or water. i recomment just water. and use a microfiber cloth like for camera lenses. dampen the cloth and wipe. Any other chemical will strip the antiglare coating right from a matte screen. I will only use water on mine.

Agreed 100%. I perfer the 50/50 alcohol mix. Use a drenched paper towel (somewhat) and a dry one. Wet around half the screen at a time and dry it with the dry cloth (dont let it air dry).

That always gives a streakfree looking surface that wont hurt your LCD

Water does not always cut it. Fingerprints for example give off an oily residue that water only spreads around and does not disolve. Another example would be sneeze droplets, water would just push the mess around.

Just remember. It cant be any other kins of alcohol but isopropyl. any others will damage the screen. you are right though water doesnt get fingerprints off that well. Thats why i dont let anyone touch my screen the only thing on mine is dust.

Please please don't use just any water. Only use distilled water. Tap water and most other water will have impurities in it that can get left behind when they dry. Distilled water is perfectly pure (or near perfect) due to the distilling process.

Stupid question. I couldn't find 100% Isopropyl alcohol at my local Walmart, so I bought 91% Isopropyl from the Health section. Do I simply go with a ~45/55 mix of water and alcohol?

I use lens cleaning wipes, available at most pharmacies. They're moistened with isopropyl alcohol. However, they tend to leave streaks, which I wipe down with the cloth that was included with my notebook.
