    Title says it all. If you guys have suggestions of a better 15" laptop than ASUS let me know.

    The uh...

    the G51. All of them are pretty awesome. The cheapest (I think) is the RX05 from Best Buy (which I have). It seems like they got a good batch of P7350s in them, because a few of the posters here with a BB model have overclocked the processor to 2.5 (myself included) with an undervolt.

    Yeah.....why don't you take a second and actually peruse the forums for a little bit?

    Its the G51, G50 can be a great deal money wise if you can find a refurbished version.

    I would not consider the g51 a 15 inch laptop. I would say it acts and feels more like a 17 inch. While it is listed as 15 inch, it does not feel like your typical 15 inch.

    I have read that the screen is actually 16", I could be wrong on this though. Can anyone confirm?

    15.6". The g60 would be the 16" model.

    The screen is 15.6", but the chassis size of the G51 series is closer to a standard 16" laptop.

    Well it's 14.8" Depth and 10.4" width. By doing Pythagore:

    C² = A² + B² lets take C as the diagonal
    C² = (14.8)² + (10.4)²
    C² = 219.04 + 108.16
    C² = 327.2
    C = sqr(327.2)
    C = 18.088670487352022 "

    So the actual screen size is 18".

    I would second the size of this laptop.The G51VX-A1 is big and looks like a 17 inch system. The viewable screen excluding the frame is exactly 15.6 inches.
    I've been using mine the last two nights on my lap. I'm glad I didn't get the G71.

    Me too, it's still big though. I'm used to my gf's laptop, 12" HP TX2000.
