I tried using the AI recovery program that came pre-installed but its not letting me a create a new recovery CD. I want to reformat my hard drive and reboot every back to its default setting.

How can I obtain a CD?

You'd have to buy one from Asus. If you're using Windows 7, you could do a clean install by using the .iso file you can download from the digital river servers.

Any other specifics? Such as laptop make and model, and the OS loaded onto it, as well as what you mean by "not letting me create a new recovery CD" (are you getting error messages)? :)
