I have a Z70V that I believe has a faulty inverter (that is I can see a picture and the screen will occasionall though rarely flicker in full brightness)

my question is, where would one obtain an inverter for a Z70V?

The Asus estore sells them for $10. Note that the Z70V is the same as M6V model.

thank you very much, I looked for an asus store at their .com site...
and the serials also match for the most part between the m6v and z70v
