Aside from a new auctions I've seen on Ebay, where else can an Asus S6F be found? I assume its not commercially available in the U.S, only in Asia and perhaps Europe correct? Does it come in any colors besides that brown leather or is there a model without that leather covering at all?

    Thank you.

I've heard basically no information on this notebook, there's little interest. I haven't seen many reviews of it nor battery life estimates or anything like that. Where could I find that info?

I just can't beleive on Datavision, the leather versions cost $500 more! Thats ridiculous plus I think the leather is a bad idea.

The leather version comes with a slip case and a leather mouse...I'm not sure what the non-leather version comes with though. Battery life with the standard battery is not that good...it's a core duo after all, and not a Pentium M or a core solo...seems to have the same screen as the Sony TX.

They are marketing it as 7 hour battery life (with both batteries together as sold outside the US...here we get just one battery in the standard package...and only a 1 year warranty too, international is 3 years warranty)...so it takes both the small and medium batteries together to get the claimed 7 hours, which in the real world would of course be less....

When the core 2 duo ulv comes out, it will be perfect for this machine.

The leather looks nice to me...(my wife saw it and wanted it right away)...but how's it gonna hold up over time etc...in any case it prolly protects the notebook itself a little from damage....
