I was just wondering where everyone purchased their Asus notebooks/netbooks.
I've listed as many retailers/resellers that I could think of, and if I'm missing any others, please let me know and I'll contact a mod to add it to the list.

To get things started, I purchased all the following from GenTechPC:
    C90S, M50Sv-A1, W7S-B2W, EeePC 701 (x2), U6V-A1, U6Vc-A1, G71G-A1, G50V-A1, EeePC 1000HE, and UL30VT-A1

    Newegg with their preferred membership...

If you purchase something over $999, they will defer your payment for 1 year without any interest... I got my laptop (in the sig) in July 2008 and I will pay for it in June 2009. (I haven't paid anything yet. :D )

Bought my W7J from Newegg. I forget where I got my G1S, it may have been eBay, but I didn't vote for that. G50V came from Buy.com. N10J came from GenTech.

You can't beat GenTech IMHO. If I decide to go ASUS for my next one, it will be from them without any doubt.

I bought my G50VT-A2 from BTOTech via their ebay store since I was able to use my ebay coupon code and get live cashback. BTOTech was great to work with and I ended up getting a great laptop for a really good price. I also just got an email from Asus a few weeks ago informing me that my free 3rd year of warranty is on the books. :)

I would have asked two questions : Where did you buy from and will you buy from the same place again?

My seller is in the list, but I would never EVER buy from them again. My first laptop was a G1s that has been great, and service with Asus was excellent when I needed it also. Amazingly fast turnround.

This time around, I'm going with the W90 as soon as its back in stock with Newegg.

G50VT-X1 from BestBuy. *hides before he is smacked for stupidity*
But at $950 I couldn't resist! Best laptop ever for a casual gamer that wouldn't mind losing a few hundred megahertz and a bunch of pixels in exchange for a new iPod!

As for returning to the seller, yes, I'll probably go there again, but only 'cause my beloved CompUSA is no longer with us. I normally use BestBuy to see something in person before I go right on over to Newegg to purchase it! I feel kind of bad doing that so often, so I'll buy a hard drive from BB or something when the price is the same as the Egg's.

I bought my G1s from MilestonePC, 2 years ago. They've since gone out of business, so I'm up the creek for service by them. Thankfully, I haven't had any real problems with my laptop.

I bought my Z71V from ISTNC 4 years ago. It looks like they're not selling notebooks anymore, but they have been consistently excellent with service, inquiry response, and repairs every time I've needed them. If they still were selling notebooks, I'd buy my next one from them in a heartbeat.

Yeah... I purposely didn't include some of the older resellers such as MilestonePC and ISTNC that are no longer in business since I was hoping to get an idea of where current Asus users got their notebooks :p

Hopefully this poll will give a better sense of where most people on NBR buy their Asus systems.

lol got mine from ZZP, great service, shipping etc.

MAIN DEAL which makes em awesome. they had great cashback deal with microsoft, 20% off my laptop = 336USD. The laptop i bought cost 1680USD - 336 USD - 91USD MIR that came with A1 so 1253USD, which IMO is pretty freakin good deal for C2Q/GTX 260m/1080p/640gb HDD/etc

While i agree with you to a great extent, i wouldnt buy a laptop from ebay.

I did a couple of times and when i bought my Dell i had mountains of trouble because the person who owned the laptop didn't give me there information, so it was impossible to get tech support/customer service on the notebook.

Bought my G2S from newegg a couple of years ago. I was really worried about buying one online without seeing it in person first....but it has been pretty much worry free so far. So I went ahead and ordered my G51J a few days ago from newegg as well. I'm sure it will get here all in one piece as well. lol :)
