The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.
Not bad if you get the LG screen. What people object to most is the lower specs the BB versions come with. Stuff like no Bluetooth or Bluray, less ram and lower resolution displays. However, the Bestbuy version are usually much less expensive and if you don't need/want those extras they are a good value, especially as an impulse buy (which is sort-of the point).
As for the BB G73, it is really quite nice (other than the issue of two different screens being offered - LG being the better one). It is without a doubt the fastest single GPU gaming laptop in it's price range ($1199).
Bought my G51J-A1 from OTV Technologies in Saskatoon, SK, Canada in November of 2009...I like buying from a brick and mortar store.
My buddy bought his G73H from the same store in February.
