I have $2000 with which to build a lappy. I know how, but I don't know where to get barebones. I prefer ASUS, so do you guys have any preferred places to get their barebones? Linkies would be appreciated. ;)

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I prefer a Core 2 Duo compatibe barebones, or if not, at least just Core Duo.

Try GenTechPC, I know that they have the S96J barebone at least.
Might want to check Excalibur PC as well.

    awesome. I'll look now.

EDIT: GenTech is too expensive. I could get the same lappy specs pre-assembled for less...

EDIT 2: Ok, EXcaliburPC has a great price. About $300 les than GenTech

I'll give a shoutout to rjtech.com, where I bought my s96j barebones. They don't have a forum presense like some other resellers, but have excellent service and good resellerratings.
