Hi,
I've recently talked to asus technical support on the question of playing dvd's and they recommended using asus dvd player which they said should have come with my F3sv-B3 I bought from newegg. Well, I can't find it. It is not pre-installed on the laptop and I've got the computer with 3 dvd/cd: nero, Recovery DVD and Driver & utility disk for F3Sc/Sv. If anyone has a similar laptop as mine could he/she kindly suggest where to look for this player software.
Thanks

In both my laptops, Asus DVD was on a separate installation CD. It was yellow/orange
Maybe you should search the box again? If your computer came in a sealed box then it should be there.
On the other hand, there is other good DVD playing software out there. Like VLC (VideoLan) for instance. -
I second EBE about getting some alternate software. If you can't find the Asus disc in your materials, you could try contacting your reseller or Asus to see if they'll replace it, but it'd probably be faster to just download VLC or MediaPlayer Classic and a DVD codec.

Yes, I already installed VLS, of course, but the question is that if I have to have that software included then I have to get it.

Well if it wasn't in the box you can ask your reseller. But honestly, is it really worth the trouble?

My DVD player doesn't play new sony disc's has anyone had similar issues?
