    Where is the Merom BIOS upgrade for the Asus W3J??!!

    It seems that there still is no BIOS upgrade for Merom support for the W3J. The W7J already got it, so the question is...when is the W3J getting it? Any ideas?

    Yes, there has been a curious lack of updates in the W3J support pages. Makes me think that ASUS doesn't care much about the model anymore. Anyways:

    There is a Official W3J Merom BIOS in the works and it'll be released soon.

    I think that if you were to drop a Merom in on BIOS 207, it'll probably work just that you won't get the nice Core 2 Duo name and model. The current BIOS would probably have support for B1 stepping and earlier for testing purposes, but the Official Merom BIOS is needed to add full support for the retail B2 stepping.
