I just purchased the Asus G1 from XoticPc.com
The system comes with a standard 1 year warranty provided my Asus.

I want to extend the warranty to three years. Should I purchase my warranty through XoticPC, where then they would support the system, or should I just get my warranty directly from Asus?

Also can someone please comment on the quality of Asus's support?

According to resellerratings.com, Xotic PC, is rated very high, but I am not sure if those numbers represent their actual warranty support:

    http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Xotic_PC

    XoticPC charges:

    $153 for a standard 3 year warranty
    $239 w/ on-site support
$293 w/ LCD Accidental Damage Protection

Are these prices considered high, or acceptable? Do you think these prices are negotiable?

Also, how much does Asus charge for a 3 year extended warranty and what does it include (onsite/accidental?)

Asus warranty doesn't do onsite. They send someone (FedEx, DHL, whatever) to pick up your notebook, and send it to a repair depot owned or registered to Asus, and then they send it back to you! :D

Asus support varies by region. North America is generally good though. However, your reseller will most likely give you a lot of support too (maybe even free).

If only a memory stick goes bad, will Asus be able to just sent a replacement memory stick, or will the make me send in the whole unit for repair?

Same question goes for a hard drive.

Here's Asus' package... it's actually very nice and even has a nice package to boot. This extends your standard 2 year global warranty to a 3 year global, which can be very, very valuable - even if you don't travel.

Technically, I think they have to repair it, or it can void your warranty. But if you request, I think they'll just send you a new hard drive if you want.
