I've checked quite a few places but it seems Asus has backordered this until the end of the month. Anyone know of a reputable place that still has it in stock? I'd rather not wait a month to get a laptop :/

    Thanks

As long as you understand customizing it will void your global warrantee, then customizing it at places like StarTech( www.allasus.com I believe) is an option.

However, if you just want to upgrade the RAM and HD, its better to do it yourself, save your money and save your warrantee.

geared2play.com offers the options to upgrade CPU, RAM, and HD, and I believe Eddie has a few in stock.

Did you try www.allasus.com (Star Tech)? I don't see a 'backordered' flag over there.

Link to G2P's Ensemble custom page isn't obvious on the main page - it's in the pull down menu on top. Here's the direct link.

    Taken from the FAQ stickied:

Colour Shine means its glossy, Crystal shine means enchanced screen. If screens are labeled Colour Shine, then it has to be Crystal Shine.

Yea, def wait. The next shipments of W3Js will have a 2.0GHz CPU and 1 stick of 1GB RAM instead of 1.83GHz and 2x512MB RAM. :)
