    Hey guys.

I will be buying a ASUS W3J soon and i wanted to know where a good place to buy one from was...

Not only do i want a good price but i wana upgrade the CPU to the T2600, with Arctic Silver 5, and upgrade the HD and Memory to a 7200 drive and 2GB of RAM.

Both of those mods (- the thermal treatment) are going to void your warranty. Can I suggest you get the basic package with a swappable 7200 drive for the optical bay and upgrade the CPU when Merom is released in September!

All upgrades but the RAM will void warranty. I got mine in from geared2play.com

Even the RAM will void warranty if you "upgrade it" ie take cash value for the old RAM instead of keeping it in case of malfunction. If you do need to send it back to Asus, the general consensus is that you need to put the stock RAM back before otherwise you will void it.

Arctic Silver 5 can easily be removed (with the solvent solutions sold by the manufacturer)... It won't void the warranty.

    I suggest geared2play.com, and proportable.com

I bought mine from eddie at geared, great/quick service from my experience.

    Justin is also very knowledgeable.

You really cant lose out, they are both great vendors.
