I've been checking the online resellers and so far the cheapes I've foung the laptop is $1579.99 at Filtech Computer.

It's a good price, but I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Anyone know of a better place to check?

hmmm, I am also looking at buying one, swiftgamers, has it for 1530$ with free shipping in Canada. For me, I live in BC so there is only GST tax which is 40 or 50$...making the grad total about 1710$!

However, has anyone bought from www.swiftgamers.com before? are they reliable?

I'm in Toronto and my options would be to order from anitec and save the PST but pay $26 shipping or buy and pickup from ESNG or Filtech at pretty reasonable prices.

Would Asus honour warranties from these resellers?

Filtech is listed on the ASUS site as a reseller, so yes to that one.

Actually, Filtech looks to be the cheapest and is a certified Asus reseller.

Just called ASUS and they said that as long as the computer has all the warranty stickers on it, not a refurb, then your good to go.

Also verify the warranty with the seller.

    That's their cash price.

swiftgamers.com is not a bad deal when you consider their price is $1630.00 with free shipping and I can use Visa.

Still cheaper to use esng. It will come out to 1625 if you want to use Visa.

Question is, do I buy now or wait to see if the price drops anymore?

I want one, but I don't need it right away. I'd prefer to wait a month or so and then purchase, but I'm worried that some online sellers will only carry the G50V-A1 until their stock runs out.

I might sell my G50 A1 if anyone is interested. I'd be looking for $1500 shipped and it's in brand new condition. PM me.

It was more of an impulse buy than anything and I'm going through buyer's remorse lol. I bought it from ncix.com for 1749 + tax. I tried returning it but they do not accept returns for non defective laptops.

Believe me, it is an amazing laptop, but I wouldn't be using it for games anyway.

So seriously, if anyone is remotely interested I can send pics etc proving ownership. It has less than 1 hour of running time. It is packed in the box ready to go. I think $1500 is a good deal, considering it is in brand new condition.

I ordered it Last Thursday and received it on Tuesday (3 days ago). I opened it, turned it on, played with it for an hour then repackaged everything, realizing that I don't need it and it was as stupid purchase on my part.

I bought it from ncix.com. They are a reputable Canadian seller out of BC. 2 year warantee still applies as well, including the 1 year accidental.

If you want to sell your notebook, please, go to the Buy/Sell/Trade forum and post a thread in full compliance with the rules of that forum. Thank you. You can then return and post a link here, and discussion can continue there.
