    Hey guys,

    The battery on my X83VP-X1 just gave in yesterday. The computer won't turn on unless it's plugged in the AC power. Where can I get a new battery?

    The ASUS eStore has one for the X83Vb/Vm, but nothing listed at all for the VP. It could be the same battery, I'm not sure: 6-Cell Battery

    Take the battery out and look at the label, it will have a part number and model number. Compare this to the link above. You can then try finding that part elsewhere because I'm sure it's more expensive from ASUS. Just be wary of fake batteries, make sure you get one with a real ASUS label and serial number.
