I had planned on ordering one from proportable today but thier stock is now depleted. One of the reasons I wanted to order from proportable is because it was the only site that actually stated that I would get the updated lcd chip for red ghosting. I would really appreciate it if any of you guys could reccomend a good site that has the updated z70va's.
Thanks![]()

As of now, it may be perhaps too late.
Most are gone and won't be back for a few weeks.
Check with all the resellers in the FAq if you are desperate, or just wait!
Best of luck -

I'm not really sure how well it stacks up to the Asus Z70va, but the HP Dv4000 seems like a comparable machine. I'm thinking of buying one for school as well, and it seems to fit the bill nicely.
However, the Asus Z70va would no doubt have better battery life. Coriolis's excellent review shows everything that i'm looking for in a laptop, but since I'm an Aussie, and I don't want the impossible task of returning a faulty machine from which I got overseas (not that I don't trust Asus machines), I have to get a powerful and mobile laptop from over here. And the best I could find was the Dv4000.
Good luck with your purchase. -
If you don't mind regular 4:3 screen ratio (and the hefty price tag), the Asus V6Va is just as good (if not better) than the Z70Va.

definately if you cant wait the v6va will be the best choice...I'd go as far as to say it's the only notebook that can compete with the z70va.
