I'm thinking of buying the w3v, but with such a large purchase I want to try it before buyingit. The only thing I'm going for right now are the reviews. They mentioned the heat issue, and the low sound. I want to test if those two problems really bother me.

Does everybody that decided to buy Asus laptop based their final decision on online reviewss?

it depends on what country. in the u.s., it will be very difficult to find places that sell asus in stores. however, there are stores in canada that have models on display.

Hi, I'm looking for a store to see the Asus products too. I live in Orange County, CA. A little too far away to just drive to Fremont.

oh i was going to say you can drive to the portableone storefront in san jose. they do indeed carry the w3v and the a8jm.
thats closer than freemont. unfortunately only by like 20 miles ;o)
youll have to look up a reseller in your area yourself. i bet there is one...

If you go to Fry's ( there in SoCal right?) I think they carry sometimes Asus models. You might want to try the specialty computer stores, they usually carry Asus models.

I live in Los Angeles, CA. I have never seen Frys carries Asus, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore since I just ordered my w3v.

    no they dont

they carry fujitsu, i think they are the only chain that does. frys can be a good place to buy a notebook if you take time and get the right one at the right time.

better than best buy or comp usa etc at least.
