I RMAed my laptop and got it back working much better but the lid sensor isn't working anymore! I don't want to send it back again but I was wondering if anyone knows where the sensor is so I could either fix or replace it.

I noticed a magnet under the black panel in front of the keyboard and it looks like it might correspond to where the inverter board is on the monitor (if the computer is closed) but I'm not sure and nervous to open up the screen to investigate

    Thanks for the help!

You do know that you will void your warranty doing that?

Yeah, I don't know if they would be able to find out that I opened up the screen unless I physically damaged something though
