I have read quite a bit about Asus laptops and at the moment, I am sort of between these 3 laptops
N80Vn-C1

N80Vn-X5

N50Vn-D1

they all have more or less the sme config, except for small differences.
what i am looking for is a laptop that i can use for business - so sleek and professional looking not with flowers on it like some asus models (independent consulting in s/w world) and also for some personal work which will involve graphics work, maybe some video editing and working on building web-sites. I am not into gaming, so I am not looking for a full on gaming laptop, but niether am i looking for just a barebone business laptop.
i thought the above 3 models seem good. any opinions on these? anyone has used these for some time?
any other suggestions?
.......the other thing i was debating on was whether to go for Asus for Dell Studio XPS 13.....

Just to note, the last one you posted is already sold out. Also, unless you are specifically avoiding ATI, you can take a look at the N81Vp.

The major difference is a 16 : 9 aspect ratio and a better GPU. Otherwise I'd say it simply comes down to price between the N80Vn-X5 and the N81Vp. -
The N81Vp with ATI 4650 offers better gaming performance than the Nvidia 9650M GT, also like the above poster said the only major difference is the aspect ratio, but to me that is not that big of a deal

Bhawna,
Just curious, what did you go with? -
n80vn-x5
it worked pretty well for 1 week and now today vista crashed and the machine would just to start up, even in safe mode. so i had to use the recovery disk to reload the factory image on one of the partitions.
and now it starts up, but doesnt have several things on it including MS office 2007 and the look and feel is very different.
waiting for asus customer support on the phone now!

N81VP is a great PC runs most modern games great, id recommend it. The 16:9 ratio isn't much of a big deal.
Which ASUS N80Vn-C1, N80Vn-X5, N50Vn-D1?
