V2JE....I think. It looks a little too big for a V2JE though.
-
-
thats the C90
heres more pics of it
and... a diff girl holding it open
. -
-
that's because its not a C90s, its an S37s. note speakers to the right of keyboard on the C90s, and the lack of it on the S37
-
yey, i was under the impression the c9x can be bought or built without the big fan bay in the back
-
heres a pic of the C90 from Milestones site
http://www.milestonepc.com/canada/product_info.php?cPath=187_87_83&products_id=1723 -
Its not the V1 or V2, the hinges are different. The one in the pic have a W3-ish design, the bamboo design. It looks like an ENSEMBLE model since it has the ASUS badge, so its not the z37s or c90s though.
Unreleased model perhaps? -
so its neither the 37 or the 90..
I'm glad they're bringing back that hinge -
It also seems like a 14", the 15.4" c90s looks much larger on the other model. Or maybe she's just petite -
If it's a 14" let's hope it's a better W3 replacement than the V2.

Doubt it though, It could be either a 13.3" or 15.4", the market for 14" is already quite large for ASUS, introducing another would kill off one of the two(probably the V2).
I've looked everywhere, that model is unknown -
Upon closer inspection, it's NOT a bamboo hinge, its part bamboo hinge? The screen will be elevated a bit higher, because I think I see ports at the back, I think I see a DVI, a TV tuner, eSATA, S-Video?
It's definitely not the W3, there are no side media buttons, but the hinge has that style.
Edit: It even looks photoshopped agfter closer inspection cause the hinge is awfully misplaced....or so it seems? -
ok, i think ive found out what it is.... its the new Asus F8
"During Computex, Asustek will showcase its C90 notebook, a high-end customized system that adopts the desktop CPU platform; the 14-inch F8 notebook boasting an art-and-craft design; the AIR1 network radio which can receive signals from over 10,000 channels worldwide; the A33 high-end five-channel HDMI-supporting home entertainment center; and the MF200 ultra-wide-angle, wide-aperture webcam." -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Lol what are you guys talking about? Thats the c90. Theres a link to an article with the same girl holding the c90 and it says the c90. Those are pics that are from computex show where the c90 was the main attraction for notebooks for asus. The bamboo notebook is literally made of it, it looks like a a hunk of carved wood with a nice screen.
-
The C90s is a barebone, and will not have an ASUS badge, yet the picture above does.
Mike, I think you are fight, the F8 was announced a while back, but without pictures, specifications and details. -
-
Everyone, meet the ASUS F8s:
edit: Fixed pictures -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Nope that is the c90.
http://www.digitimes.com/systems/a20070604PD212.html
Note you can see the fans on the bottom. -
there supposedly is supposed to be 2 versions of c90...one with a desktop processor and another in the future with a notebook processor and no huge fans in the back.
cori, pics don't work :T -
More pics:
-
i originally paid too much attention to the camera and thought it had to be the c90. But its gotta be the F8
-
Specs:
Core 2 Duo T7400 800mhz
14.1" WXGA+
Up to 4gb DDR2 677mhz RAM
160gb 5400rpm SATA
ATI HD 2600 512mb
2.4kg -
omy... that is über stylish.
Is this a 14" gaming notebook? Looks better than the V2. -
Seems like it, though whats the ATI x2600 like?
Funny how the spec board says ATI.
I see an nVidia sticker
Heres another pic of the chick, higher resolution:
-
i don't really like the lid design....
-
-
Could there possibly be two models, an ati and nvidia perhaps?
The nvidia sticker is puzzling. -
When can I pre-order
lol
I hope it doesn't include the anorexic girl. -
-
Do you know if what the default processor will be? I saw that it had the options 7700/7500/7300/7100.
Also do you know how the 2600 stacks up again the 8600gt? I also thought I saw it had GDDR3 but the text is to small to decipher. -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Where are you guys getting these pics from? Are there any articles about them?
-
This is just pure speculation... is this ASUS' solution to A8's hinge problems? Is this the A8 replacement?
-
Here's a link however you need to understand chinese.
http://www.mobile01.com/newsdetail.php?id=3416
Or you could just look at the pictures! -
Yea, ASUS has not said a single thing about the F8s, so it's all from pictures we found, not much is said in the article. As for the processor, it'll vary depending on area.
-
I spy with my little eye... A.... I'm actually not sure. What video ports are those? -
-
Yeap, power port, 2x USB, S-Video, VGA, DVI and Ethernet/Dial up ports.
-
Anyone else notice the model in the pictures on page 2 with the F8S sign are different from those on page 1/3?
Notice the black exterior
This looks entirely different and more resembles the color of the old A8JS design. It also looks too big to be a 14" and if you look to the right of it you can see what looks like the model next to the sign in the first pic.
Exciting nonetheless whichever one it is, I've been waiting to get a laptop for about 3 months now and this looks like the perfect candidate. Someone was asking if it was DDRIII and I'm pretty sure the sign says DDRII VRAM (EDIT: Upon closer examination it could still very well be DDRIII).
I'll be jumping on the pre-order for this one. Looks great spec wise and the model in the first pic is looking great. -
someone just moved the sign on ur top pic. The F8 is obviously to the left of that pic
-
or that weird lid on the z62, except shiny. -
-
ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Bah, where is Justin when we need him for something like this
Looks like quite a sweet unit, however, even if it's an F model. Perhaps the intent is to fill the style void in the 14" line between the A8 and V2? I agree that Asus may be making it a bit crowded in there, but there is room in the pricing scheme for a mid-level 14" model. Perhaps me' ole Z needs a trade-in? -
Looks like the U1F to me.
-
ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
-
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Hey in the chinese engadget from where you got the pics of it says the c90 support ddrII-800 ram while on all the websites like gentech it says only ddrII-667?
-
The one with the F8s sigh is the U1f, to its left out of the picture is the F8...Perhaps?
Wow, confusing term of events, that notebook with the nVidia GPU, DVI, etc. may be something else then. The F8 may not even been in any of those pictures! -
From what I can make out, these are the only 2 full pictures of the F8.
Which ASUS model is this?
